| The house was built near the turn of the 19th century and is of Second Empire architectural design. It features five comfortable guest rooms, beautiful oak parquet and random-plank hardwood floors, and period furniture as well as other family antiques throughout the home. From 1922 until the early 1970s, it was operated by Caroline Fishborn Petty as tourist home. Caroline's father, who built the home, owned most of the farmland in the surrounding area which is now known as Penbrook and Progress. Three of the rooms have been named for one of the three Fishborn children (Anna, Calvin, and Caroline who last occupied the house until about 1989. Relax on our front porch swing, or by a cozy fire in the parlor. Games, puzzles, and reading materials are provided for your enjoyment.
